Brahms, Bach and Beethoven – The Three Bs

These are the three composers that feature in our Spring 2019 Concert which will be performed on  April 13th at 7:30 p.m. and April 14th at 2:00pm at St. George’s United Church on Fitzgerald Ave., Courtenay.  Tickets are $20, $5 for under 12s and will be available for purchase at The Blue Heron and Laughing Oyster bookstores at the beginning of March.  Also from Choir members and at the door.

The music will be Brahms’ Requiem, selections from J.S. Bach’s Cantata No 147 Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben,  and the first movement of J.S. Bach’s Violin Concerto in D minor played by Isabella and James Donn, and a piano piece, Elf Bagatellen, op. 119, #1 by Beethoven played by Danielle Bae.  Our four part choir with orchestra will be performing under the direction of Paul Colthorpe, accompanied by Elvera Penner and the NICS Orchestra. Our soloists are Carol Anne Parkinson Lisa Stephens Deith, Brian Lawrence  and and Christopher Bellamy,
